Community Outreach Offerings Continue

Now more than ever, our Community Outreach partners need our help to continue their vital work in our community. We will continue to take an offering during our Sunday Service on-line the Second Sunday of each moth; or at ANY time through our on-line giving resources. Our Donations page has the details.

Your generosity is critical to the health, safety, well-being, and the very life of your community. Please give generously and be assured that 100% of your donation through our program goes directly to the Partner.

Sunday, April 12, Community Outreach OfferingFamily Care Network

Established in 1987, Family Care Network, Inc. (FCNI) is a not-for-profit Community-Based Organization that provides intensive, therapeutic services to children, youth and families impacted by trauma in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara counties.  Under the mission, “to enhance the wellbeing of children and families in partnership with our community”, we provide services designed to stabilize and empower those in care to live healthier lives and achieve their goals.  Our programs are individualized, culturally-sensitive, needs-based and solution-focused.  We meet families and youth “where they are” so that we can help them build on their strengths, heal from trauma, and develop stronger life skills to ensure better futures.

Everyone in our care has experienced some level of trauma as a result of neglect, abuse, domestic violence, family separation, chronic poverty, substance abuse, homelessness and/or unmet mental health needs.  Unfortunately, because of these issues, our kids, youth and families are even more vulnerable due to crises, such as our current community crisis caused by the Covid-19 virus.  Those we care for already have limited skills and resources, which puts them at an even higher risk for losing wages, jobs, housing, and stability during this difficult time.  Our clients will need immediate assistance to ensure that they can stay together and that all of their urgent needs are met; needs such as emergency housing costs, food, loss of wages, rising utilities expenses, safety items, transportation needs, childcare solutions, etc.  If needs such as these go unmet, they can quickly become barriers to success, keeping families separated, homeless and unstable.

We are asking you, our community, to donate so we can ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children, youth and families we serve.  Your funds will have an immediate impact in our local community.
