Worship Associates have a proscribed role in the Sunday Service when our minister is in the pulpit, and an expanded role when we have a guest or lay-led service. Workshops and retreats are scheduled regularly during the year to provide a structured time for exploring our individual spiritual paths. We hear from our minister and other leaders who have specific skills, and we deepen our learning and understanding of how to create and maintain worship that challenges, comforts, and has meaning for our diverse congregation. Worship Associates should be able to project warmth and positive energy, be good readers and listeners, be willing to learn from and work with other speakers, musicians and sound technicians, and have a passion for spreading the good news of Unitarian Universalism! The Associates’ schedule is mutually agreed upon – most people serve once every six weeks.
Please contact a member of the Worship Arts Committee if you are interested in learning more.
