SLO Noor Foundation

April, 2024

The SLO Noor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free health services to the uninsured and underinsured members of our community. We have the privilege of providing primary, dental, vision, and mental healthcare services at $0 patient cost. The SLO Noor Foundation founded in 2011, by Ahmad Nooristani, M.D. as a medical and vision clinic for the uninsured.  In 2014 our dental clinic was included and in 2017, we opened a primary health clinic in Paso Robles.  Our most recent expansion is our Mobile Health Clinic (MHC).  The MHC will begin providing primary health services to patients throughout the County of San Luis Obispo in May 2024.

Our primary care services include Nutrition Consultations, Physical Therapy, Care Coordination, Health Education, and Specialty Referrals. This is possible through a combination of staff practitioners and volunteer providers.  We are also proud to connect our patients to a comprehensive network of local providers who offer specialty treatment for little to no cost.  As of 2023, SLO Noor medical clinics were able to provide 3,800 patient visits throughout the year.

Dental and vision services are also enabled through volunteers, staff, and community support. We are able to provide free vision screenings, diabetic retinopathy care, and glasses.  Our dental clinic services include x-rays, fillings, crowns, bridges, and even oral surgery!

Much of the work done at SLO Noor is made possible by the strong sense of community that exists in the Central Coast.  9,500 hours a year are donated to our organization by 100 volunteers who share our mission of guaranteed access to healthcare for every SLO County resident. Thanks to our community, we have been able to provide free healthcare services for close to 15 years.
