Climate Community
We educate each other about the climate crisis and form a supportive community to face the many coming challenges.
We connect with local organizations, share movies, read books, and get resources from our national organization (Unitarian Universalist Association). We invite climate fellows to talk to us about climate resiliency. We provide opportunities for action by staying informed on current legislation, writing and calling representatives, attending local events, sharing personal actions about climate, and encouraging changes at UUSLO.

The joy, enthusiasm and engagement of our UUSLO Climate Community was noticed by the SLO Climate Coalition Climate Fellows during the Climate Resilience Workshops. We were awarded the 2024 Micro-Community of the Year Award at the 2025 SLO Climate Coalition Kickoff Party on January 16th. We have 2 more Resiliency Workshops left: February 23rd and March 16th. Come have some fun with us, learn and share the joy!
