Marty was born and raised in Santa Clara, California. He graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Philosophy in 1984. Marty came to the central coast in 1994 to finish work on a Master’s Degree in Education at Cal Poly. UUSLO will benefit from his experience working in big government, small business, philanthropy, education and public speaking. Spiritually, he integrates secular humanist values with Buddhist principles and practices. Marty feels right at home in UU life, is please to be of service to our congregation and wants to support the leadership team reach dreams yet to be realized, as well as those already in the “cooker.”
