“We are more alike, my friend, than we are unalike,” writes Maya Angelou, in her poem “Human Family.” While that may be true, in our efforts to be truly inclusive, it is important not to assume that others experience the world “just like me.” Today, we explore some of the differences in how our brains perceive the world and how we can respond to one another with compassion and understanding.
After the service, from noon ’til 1pm, join the neurodiverse and those interested in neurodiversity for a Q&A and support session in the sanctuary. |
